Insured patients

If accessing our treatments through an insurance provider, it is important that you liaise closely with your insurer prior to your imaging examination.

Your insurance provider will be able to confirm the terms and conditions of your policy; there may be exclusions or limitations in your policy. The insurers may also require forms to be completed by your referring GP or consultant. It is important that you communicate any changes with your insurance provider to acquire the necessary authorisation.

During the booking process you will be asked to provide proof of authorisation from your insurer. This will be an authorisation number supplied by your insurer. We will ask you to complete the name of your insurer on the patient registration form. It is important that you have the authorisation code from your insurer during the booking process otherwise payment may be required from you. The arrangements we have with insurers enables us to send invoices directly to them for settlement, however, there may be occasions where you receive an invoice directly from the Rutherford Diagnostic Centre Somerset. These should be forwarded to your insurer for settlement.

Self-pay patients

For patients who are self-funding, a bespoke package will be created detailing the costs of your imaging when you enquire about the services at our centre. Whether you access our treatments through insurance or self-pay, our dedicated team are here to help.
