By utilising and developing innovative technologies, such as state-of-the-art diagnostics, to reduce levels of acute illness and support good health and wellbeing, Rutherford Diagnostics is at the forefront of transformative healthcare. The Rutherford Diagnostics Centres offer a range of diagnostic services, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound and X-ray.

Our full complement of diagnostic imaging services will offer support to both GP and consultant-led pathways along with community-based ‘walk in’ services. Our diagnostic imaging services are accessible to self-pay patients, private patients under medical insurance (subject to authorisation) and NHS patients who are treated under our contract to Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. Our services are delivered by our dedicated and skilled healthcare professionals and leading consultants in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Rutherford Diagnostics designs and plans all its centres collaboratively in order to secure a patient-centric focus. This not only supports the patient experience but also helps to determine the exact requirements of each centre, whilst meeting all the required regulations in building, healthcare and technology deployment.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound scan uses high-frequency sound waves to create an image of part of the body inside, this can be used to diagnose or guide treatment.
